About the Role
We are looking for experienced scientists to join our strain development team. You will be responsible for developing a strain improvement strategy and engineering strain for industrial applications. You will also collaborate with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
responsibilities
Develop, construct, and engineer microbial strains to produce recombinant proteins and optimize their yield and productivity to meet commercialization requirements.
Develop hypotheses and implement approaches to identify cellular metabolic bottlenecks and define new targets for strain engineering.
Contribute to experimental design, participate in technical discussions, and present findings regularly in team meetings.
Work collaboratively with other team members.
qualifications
Masters or Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Synthetic Biology, Microbiology, or a related field.
Extensive experience in recombinant protein expression, particularly in filamentous fungi and/or yeast.
Proficient in microbial genetic engineering (e.g., Gibson Assembly, Golden Gate Assembly, CRISPR), molecular biology benchwork, standard laboratory procedures, and sterile techniques.
Experience with analytical chemistry instruments (e.g., LC-MS/MS, GC-MS, HPLC).
Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex biological datasets.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.
Preferred skills and experiences
Candidates with strong experience in recombinant protein production for industrial applications.
Experience with omics analysis, AI, or bioinformatics tools is a plus.
